A service request is when you ask for something new or additional. This could be anything from requesting access to new software, needing a new computer, or asking for help with setting up a printer. Think of it as asking for a service or resource that you don't currently have.
An incident is when something goes wrong or stops working as expected. This could be your computer crashing, not being able to access your email, or the internet being down. It's about fixing problems that disrupt your normal work.
